Longest Walk Arrives in California Bay Area

Please find attached the flyer with information about the Longest Walk IV, Return to Alcatraz.
We need your help: We are looking for stay places for the walkers on the 19th, 20th and 21st.
We are looking for food donations for each of these days and also for the final day of the 22nd.
We are also looking for financial assistance for this last leg of the journey as well as travel monies to get our walkers home.
If you can assist in any of these ways please contact the Bay Area organizers  Corrina and Johnella [shellmoundwalk@yahoo.com]

The walkers started their journey in July from Washington DC and will be returning to Alcatraz on December 21st, following the original route of the first Longest Walk.
Please join us in walking with them as they enter the Bay Area.
We will also be celebrating the life of Bill Wahpepah on December 20th (more information to come) and on the 21st join the walkers as they complete the ceremonial walk at Alcatraz, they will be arriving Pier 33 for the 8:20am ferry and will return at 10:30am.
Tickets are available for $14. On the 22nd we will join in a community celebration at Intertribal Friendship House ( more information to come)
