An eye witness even said the brother was in the process of surrendering, slowing his run down, and saying "OK, OK, OK."

* "Police Killing of Nathaniel Wilks Re-Ignite Protests in Oakland" (2015-08-15, wearyourvoicemag.com) [http://is.gd/sy2u9l] [begin excerpt]: Wednesday afternoon, a 27 year old man was shot by Oakland police following a pursuit and alleged carjacking attempt in West Oakland. Alameda County Coroner’s Office identified 27-year-old Nathaniel Wilks as the suspect involved in the fatal shooting. After Wilks was shot, he was later taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
The police chase originally started when officers claim to have spotted what they believed to have been a stolen car. Officers attempted to pull the driver over, but Wilks fled the scene, resulting in a full-on police chase complete with helicopter tracking and lasted roughly seven miles until the man crashed into another car on 27th Street between Northgate Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Way.
According to the police account, the man allegedly ran from the car (allegedly armed with a gun) and tried to carjack another driver. As police ran up, there was a confrontation with the suspect – according to some news accounts at least one officer opened fire, while other accounts state that all three officers opened fire. The San Francisco District Attorney had 10 months to investigate and to write a flawed eight page report.") [archive.is/JSihQ] [begin excerpt]: According to the bottom of page two, no 911 call or radio dispatch claims Alex Nieto is doing anything that is erratic or violent. We now have confirmed evidence that Alex never threatened anyone, yet the SFPD rushed up to Bernal Hill in an aggressive military manner to kill someone.
On page three, according to Officer Sawyer, as Alex walked down the hill, he continued eating from his bag of chips. Consider Alex’s intent and mindset: he had no clue that anyone had called the police on him because he had done nothing wrong. He was minding his own business eating his chips. He did not imagine that the police were there for him. Any reasonable police officer seeing someone eating a bag of chips should have known that this person is not a violent threat. Yet they approach him in a daunting, life threatening manner with their guns drawn on him.
On page three of the report it states that when officers see Alex they believe he is the suspect. Officer Sawyer believes he sees a bulge under his jacket that may be a gun. Officer Schiff certainly sees what he believes is a holstered weapon.
Officers exit their patrol car with guns drawn on Alex.
They state that then Alex lifted his arms and exposed what appeared to them to be a holstered weapon.
Let’s review: They both now know that Alex Nieto has a pistol and they have their own guns aimed right at him; their weapons are drawn.
They then claim that Alex takes his weapon out of his holster and points it at both of the ready and trained officers, and the officers allow him to do this.
For argument’s sake, let us accept this narrative yet question it. If Alex had drawn his weapon, and the veteran police officers have their own pistols aimed right at him, and they justifiably believe he has a gun, why did they not immediately shoot when Alex even attempted to reach for his weapon? Why would trained police officers allow themselves to be tracked by someone with a gun?
This narrative is completely unbelievable. Once Alex would have reached for his weapon, officers would have immediately fired, especially since they already had their weapons drawn and pointed at him.
Why would Alex Nieto even point a taser at police officers when he has done nothing wrong? He is ready for work as a security guard (he’s scheduled in less than two hours). He has no criminal history and has never been arrested in his life.
On page three, why does the report reference the first shots fired by Officers Sawyer and Schiff as “a number of shots?” Why can’t they say exactly how many shots they fired at that moment and who fired first?
This D.A report’s summary of the shooting is completely inconsistent with the audio. There were first two shots and then there was a seven second pause. Then there was more firing, what we now know was a total of 59 shots! [end excerpt]

The idea of learning about their own history and culture made George Jackson University so popular when it was first organized several years ago that 25,000 Black prisoners immediately signed up. But prison authorities moved immediately, too, not to support but to erase the concept and, at about the same time, the GJU records were destroyed by fire. * "Prisons, gangs, witchhunts and white supremacy" (2015-02-01, by Steve Martinot, sfbayview.com) [archive.is/7lpX0] [begin excerpt]: There is a trick that the California prison administration (hereafter “Admin”) pulls on African Americans in prison. It is to charge them with gang activity if they refer to “George Jackson” or any of his writings or ideas or to the “Republic of New Afrika” or the politics of New Afrikans.
Any such reference will be interpreted to mean one is a member of a group called the Black Guerrilla Family (BGF) and thus guilty of promoting gang activity. Thousands of people, mostly Black and Brown, have been held in solitary confinement (Security Housing Unit, or SHU) for years and even decades, because “gang activity” constitutes a “security threat to the prison,” according to the Admin.
Yet even prisoners held in solitary can be brought up on charges of “gang activity,” which is hard to imagine. Four times in the course of a single year, Abdul Olugbala Shakur, a long-timer in Pelican Bay, has been so charged for letters to friends on the outside. Each time, he was convicted of gang activity and his solitary confinement extended. I recently obtained access to the write-ups of those various hearings, called “Rules Violation Reports.” In them, one sees a species of witchhunt in modern form. [end excerpt]
* "Political or Gang Activity? “New Afrikan” Prisoners in Solitary Confinement" (2012-08-07, solitarywatch.com) [archive.is/PDWfj] [begin excerpt]: Three “New Afrikan” prisoners in California Security Housing Units (Pelican Bay and Corcoran State Prisons) have recently written to Solitary Watch criticizing their continued isolation for being members of the Black Guerilla Family (BGF), the only black prison gang in California that will lead to placement in the SHU.
According to Mutope Duguma (legal name James Crawford) at Pelican Bay, it’s his political views “that got me placed in solitary confinement and labeled a BGF member, which I am not, but in order to place you in solitary confinement IGI/ISU/OCS have to label you a BGF if you’re a New Afrikan.”
He has been in solitary for over a decade. “My cell has a concrete slab bed, the cell is white with a concrete brick slab for TV holding. Toilet and sink connected all in one and the steel front panel door and a white painted wall in front. No trees. No animals. No sun. No life. Just prisoners isolated from the world,” he writes.
Life for men in the SHU is bleak, reports Duguma., “I get up at 5:30 AM, go to the yard when my rotation comes around for 90 minutes, then I am back in my cell for the rest of the day.”
Prisoners labeled BGF are routinely validated on the basis of their political views. In a June 2012 ruling, the California Court of Appeals found that Duguma’s political writings were wrongly used to prevent outgoing mail to the San Francisco Bay View newspaper. Duguma referred to himself as a “New Afrikan Nationalist Revolutionary Man.”
A Correctional officer intercepted the letter and sent a “Stopped Mail Notification”, indicating that the letter “promotes gang activity,” and that his writings were a reference to “ideology created by the Black Guerilla Family.”
Stanford Professor James Campbell, after reading the letter, told the court that Duguma is “a serious political thinker using terms such as ‘New Afrikan’ and ‘New Afrikan Nationalist Revolutionary Man’ that were ubiquitous in Black urban life in the 1960s and 1970s…”
The court ultimately ruled that “without any evidence showing the letter to promote violence or otherwise threaten security, the confiscation violates the First Amendment” and ordered that the letter finally be sent to the Bay View.
According to accounts by men in California’s SHUs, drawings are also used to justify their continued isolation. One common image used to validate prisoners is any drawing of a dragon. For the BGF, one of their symbols is a dragon squeezing a prison guard tower. [end excerpt]

So, some friends got together with us last week in Memphis. One, a Black activist lawyer from NYC, and the other a sister from the original BPP in NYC, along with her husband who had been an anti-war activist when they met many years ago in NY, and had moved to Memphis. So, my wife and I met them at the library, and then went out with them to a restaurant in the entertainment district downtown on Beale St., for a few hours last weekend. We talked about a lot of things that day, reminisced about the struggle of the 1960's and 70's, and so on for hours. The one thing that I will remember however is that after we were heading for where our cars were parked, the lawyer said she could feel the racism from whites in Memphis, and also the fear of Blacks in Memphis, as if they were still in slavery. I told her that I felt that everyday, and that unless you come here or have been here for anytime, it is not possible to pick it up. Most people don't believe it or cannot really imagine it as somehow different from where they live. It, for sure ain't all about Elvis and that damn hound dog! This is a racist hellhole.

On Saturday, August 8, 2015, a group of six Black Liberation Movement activists were violently attacked at a downtown Atlanta hotel. The group included members of the Free The People Movement, including their Coordinator, Kalonji Jama Changa, members of the Nation of Gods and Earths and Dhoruba Bin Wahad, the internationally recognized former Black Panther Party leader and political prisoner of 19 years. The group was jumped by 25 to 30 members of The New Black Panther Party at “The Power Belongs to the People 2015 Summit” in Atlanta, Georgia, an event hosted by the New Black Panther Party.
According to eyewitnesses, 71 year-old Dhoruba Bin Wahad and the others approached the side of the stage where attorney Malik Zulu Shabazz was speaking. While standing there, Shabazz, leader of the New Black Panther Party asked, “Who is that?” Bin Wahad replied, “You know who I am!” Shabazz responded “WAHAD! We’ll deal with you later!” Bin Wahad countered with “You can deal with me now…” Knowing that Dhoruba Bin Wahad was there with information that would publicly expose Shabazz’s government affiliations that contradict his stance as a Nationalist and activist for Black liberation, Shabazz immediately ordered the NBPP members in attendance to “Get his b*tch ass out of here!” At that point the whole group was mobbed and violently attacked by at least 25 members of the audience. As they defended themselves, the men were struck with chairs and other objects. Bin Wahad’s jaw was broken in three places, one of his associates was choked unconscious and others received head gashes that required staples.
As of this release, Bin Wahad is undergoing a 6-hour surgery to reconstruct his jaw and the others have been treated and released. More details will follow as information is gathered.

So, We have taken the time to detail the events in it's entirety (before and after) to expose the hidden hands involved in the failed operation which backfired on the attackers who now are in damage control seeking sympathy.
I am aware that many people have their feelings on what took place august 8th in the Ramada ballroom between young members of the NBPP, Dhourba Bin Wahad and Kalonji Changa- from what I have observed most of you were not there, and have made decisions based on hearsay or emotionalism.
I was there I seen the 8 to 9 men march down the leftside wall and head straight to the stage in a packed house. I saw the leadership greet DBW respectfully, and his belligerent demeanor towards attorney shabazz and the host.
He was asked to leave.. refused .. punched a young man, was subdued after pulling a knife after the fight ensued - the 9 men involved had weapons and pulled them, but were disarmed
the women and children were all in panic and endangered, and there was no re guard shown for them or the safety of others baba Mukasa Ricks was there and had to ball up his fist to protect his wife kalonji changa would run leaving DBW and the others he came with to shut the summit down
none of us are happy about dBW being involved , none of us had any idea of his operation shut em down, we were hoping that those involved would be honest but they have not been
both video and audio were rolling and those who lied can only try to do damage control for a attempted plan gone terribly wrong. not to forget that men were injured on both sides due to this insane plan .
If you were not there please quit lying to the public, those involved need to take responsibility for their actions many more innocent people could have been hurt were it not for the trained brothers on security you cannot plan to attack something, then attack it - and then when it goes wrong masquerade like they attacked you. I've read about space camp. This is a truly an interesting photo...and one that should have been published widely instead of all of the photos attempting to criminalize Trayvon Martin, and "justify" his killer's actions.
George Zimmerman, murdering vigilante and cop wannabe, has done nothing in the interim of being exonerated of his guilt in the lynching of Trayvon Martin but commit one crime after another, for which he doesn't ever do any jail time, and for which he isn't ever held accountable. He continues, in other words, to prove himself to be a useless waste of flesh.
Trayvon Martin's innocence, on the other hand, has been repeatedly proven, as was his intelligence. Afrikan intelligence being the rule rather than the exception - this is not surprising - and is one of the reasons Tryavon Martin was lynched and his killer was set free.

The San Francisco District Attorney had 10 months to investigate and to write a flawed eight page report.") We now have confirmed evidence that Alex never threatened anyone, yet the SFPD rushed up to Bernal Hill in an aggressive military manner to kill someone.
On page three, according to Officer Sawyer, as Alex walked down the hill, he continued eating from his bag of chips. Consider Alex’s intent and mindset: he had no clue that anyone had called the police on him because he had done nothing wrong. He was minding his own business eating his chips. He did not imagine that the police were there for him. Any reasonable police officer seeing someone eating a bag of chips should have known that this person is not a violent threat. Yet they approach him in a daunting, life threatening manner with their guns drawn on him.
On page three of the report it states that when officers see Alex they believe he is the suspect. Officer Sawyer believes he sees a bulge under his jacket that may be a gun. Officer Schiff certainly sees what he believes is a holstered weapon.
Officers exit their patrol car with guns drawn on Alex.
They state that then Alex lifted his arms and exposed what appeared to them to be a holstered weapon.
Let’s review: They both now know that Alex Nieto has a pistol and they have their own guns aimed right at him; their weapons are drawn.
They then claim that Alex takes his weapon out of his holster and points it at both of the ready and trained officers, and the officers allow him to do this.
For argument’s sake, let us accept this narrative yet question it. If Alex had drawn his weapon, and the veteran police officers have their own pistols aimed right at him, and they justifiably believe he has a gun, why did they not immediately shoot when Alex even attempted to reach for his weapon? Why would trained police officers allow themselves to be tracked by someone with a gun?
This narrative is completely unbelievable. Once Alex would have reached for his weapon, officers would have immediately fired, especially since they already had their weapons drawn and pointed at him.
Why would Alex Nieto even point a taser at police officers when he has done nothing wrong? He is ready for work as a security guard (he’s scheduled in less than two hours). He has no criminal history and has never been arrested in his life.
On page three, why does the report reference the first shots fired by Officers Sawyer and Schiff as “a number of shots?” Why can’t they say exactly how many shots they fired at that moment and who fired first?
This D.A report’s summary of the shooting is completely inconsistent with the audio. There were first two shots and then there was a seven second pause. Then there was more firing, what we now know was a total of 59 shots! [end excerpt]

It is to charge them with gang activity if they refer to “George Jackson” or any of his writings or ideas or to the “Republic of New Afrika” or the politics of New Afrikans.
Any such reference will be interpreted to mean one is a member of a group called the Black Guerrilla Family (BGF) and thus guilty of promoting gang activity. Thousands of people, mostly Black and Brown, have been held in solitary confinement (Security Housing Unit, or SHU) for years and even decades, because “gang activity” constitutes a “security threat to the prison,” according to the Admin.
Yet even prisoners held in solitary can be brought up on charges of “gang activity,” which is hard to imagine. Four times in the course of a single year, Abdul Olugbala Shakur, a long-timer in Pelican Bay, has been so charged for letters to friends on the outside. Each time, he was convicted of gang activity and his solitary confinement extended. I recently obtained access to the write-ups of those various hearings, called “Rules Violation Reports.” In them, one sees a species of witchhunt in modern form. [end excerpt]
* "Political or Gang Activity? “New Afrikan” Prisoners in Solitary Confinement" (2012-08-07, solitarywatch.com) [archive.is/PDWfj] [begin excerpt]: Three “New Afrikan” prisoners in California Security Housing Units (Pelican Bay and Corcoran State Prisons) have recently written to Solitary Watch criticizing their continued isolation for being members of the Black Guerilla Family (BGF), the only black prison gang in California that will lead to placement in the SHU.
According to Mutope Duguma (legal name James Crawford) at Pelican Bay, it’s his political views “that got me placed in solitary confinement and labeled a BGF member, which I am not, but in order to place you in solitary confinement IGI/ISU/OCS have to label you a BGF if you’re a New Afrikan.”
He has been in solitary for over a decade. “My cell has a concrete slab bed, the cell is white with a concrete brick slab for TV holding. Toilet and sink connected all in one and the steel front panel door and a white painted wall in front. No trees. No animals. No sun. No life. Just prisoners isolated from the world,” he writes.
Life for men in the SHU is bleak, reports Duguma., “I get up at 5:30 AM, go to the yard when my rotation comes around for 90 minutes, then I am back in my cell for the rest of the day.”
Prisoners labeled BGF are routinely validated on the basis of their political views. In a June 2012 ruling, the California Court of Appeals found that Duguma’s political writings were wrongly used to prevent outgoing mail to the San Francisco Bay View newspaper. Duguma referred to himself as a “New Afrikan Nationalist Revolutionary Man.”
A Correctional officer intercepted the letter and sent a “Stopped Mail Notification”, indicating that the letter “promotes gang activity,” and that his writings were a reference to “ideology created by the Black Guerilla Family.”
Stanford Professor James Campbell, after reading the letter, told the court that Duguma is “a serious political thinker using terms such as ‘New Afrikan’ and ‘New Afrikan Nationalist Revolutionary Man’ that were ubiquitous in Black urban life in the 1960s and 1970s…”
The court ultimately ruled that “without any evidence showing the letter to promote violence or otherwise threaten security, the confiscation violates the First Amendment” and ordered that the letter finally be sent to the Bay View.
According to accounts by men in California’s SHUs, drawings are also used to justify their continued isolation. One common image used to validate prisoners is any drawing of a dragon. For the BGF, one of their symbols is a dragon squeezing a prison guard tower. [end excerpt]

So, some friends got together with us last week in Memphis. One, a Black activist lawyer from NYC, and the other a sister from the original BPP in NYC, along with her husband who had been an anti-war activist when they met many years ago in NY, and had moved to Memphis. So, my wife and I met them at the library, and then went out with them to a restaurant in the entertainment district downtown on Beale St., for a few hours last weekend. We talked about a lot of things that day, reminisced about the struggle of the 1960's and 70's, and so on for hours. The one thing that I will remember however is that after we were heading for where our cars were parked, the lawyer said she could feel the racism from whites in Memphis, and also the fear of Blacks in Memphis, as if they were still in slavery. I told her that I felt that everyday, and that unless you come here or have been here for anytime, it is not possible to pick it up. Most people don't believe it or cannot really imagine it as somehow different from where they live. It, for sure ain't all about Elvis and that damn hound dog! This is a racist hellhole.

On Saturday, August 8, 2015, a group of six Black Liberation Movement activists were violently attacked at a downtown Atlanta hotel. The group included members of the Free The People Movement, including their Coordinator, Kalonji Jama Changa, members of the Nation of Gods and Earths and Dhoruba Bin Wahad, the internationally recognized former Black Panther Party leader and political prisoner of 19 years. The group was jumped by 25 to 30 members of The New Black Panther Party at “The Power Belongs to the People 2015 Summit” in Atlanta, Georgia, an event hosted by the New Black Panther Party.
According to eyewitnesses, 71 year-old Dhoruba Bin Wahad and the others approached the side of the stage where attorney Malik Zulu Shabazz was speaking. While standing there, Shabazz, leader of the New Black Panther Party asked, “Who is that?” Bin Wahad replied, “You know who I am!” Shabazz responded “WAHAD! We’ll deal with you later!” Bin Wahad countered with “You can deal with me now…” Knowing that Dhoruba Bin Wahad was there with information that would publicly expose Shabazz’s government affiliations that contradict his stance as a Nationalist and activist for Black liberation, Shabazz immediately ordered the NBPP members in attendance to “Get his b*tch ass out of here!” At that point the whole group was mobbed and violently attacked by at least 25 members of the audience. As they defended themselves, the men were struck with chairs and other objects. Bin Wahad’s jaw was broken in three places, one of his associates was choked unconscious and others received head gashes that required staples.
As of this release, Bin Wahad is undergoing a 6-hour surgery to reconstruct his jaw and the others have been treated and released. More details will follow as information is gathered.

I am aware that many people have their feelings on what took place august 8th in the Ramada ballroom between young members of the NBPP, Dhourba Bin Wahad and Kalonji Changa- from what I have observed most of you were not there, and have made decisions based on hearsay or emotionalism.
I was there I seen the 8 to 9 men march down the leftside wall and head straight to the stage in a packed house. I saw the leadership greet DBW respectfully, and his belligerent demeanor towards attorney shabazz and the host.
He was asked to leave.. refused .. punched a young man, was subdued after pulling a knife after the fight ensued - the 9 men involved had weapons and pulled them, but were disarmed
the women and children were all in panic and endangered, and there was no re guard shown for them or the safety of others baba Mukasa Ricks was there and had to ball up his fist to protect his wife kalonji changa would run leaving DBW and the others he came with to shut the summit down
none of us are happy about dBW being involved , none of us had any idea of his operation shut em down, we were hoping that those involved would be honest but they have not been
both video and audio were rolling and those who lied can only try to do damage control for a attempted plan gone terribly wrong. not to forget that men were injured on both sides due to this insane plan .
If you were not there please quit lying to the public, those involved need to take responsibility for their actions many more innocent people could have been hurt were it not for the trained brothers on security you cannot plan to attack something, then attack it - and then when it goes wrong masquerade like they attacked you. Like many his upbringing was no different than any black man, woman, and child. The following article begins with a falsehood and ends with a surprising admission that police know who ordered the killing of Dr. Huey P. Newton, exposing the lie that he was killed "buying crack rocks"! The CIA had monopolized the cocaine trade into the USA and directed the trafficking into New Afrikan communities, presided over by deputized police departments, specifically to incapacitate the nation. Therefore, potentially revolutionary organizations like the BGF have historically had members (or autonomous sets) who (for lack of a better terminology) are CIA assets and can be used to disrupt the nation. The initial falsehood is that the author claims the BGF, originally a communist street organization, began in 1966 by adopting the SLA's militia structure. The problem is that the SLA was founded in 1974 by white urban guerrillas.

The Black Guerrilla Family was founded in 1966 by George Lester Jackson, W.L. Nolen, David Johnson, James Carr and other black racist convicts in California’s San Quentin state prison. The revolting gang’s founding fathers were inmate writ writers and adopted the ideology and militia structure of the Symbionese Liberation Army (SLA). There objective in starting the gang was to unite incarcerated black inmates and kick off a violent uprising against what they believed was a racist white prison administration.
The BGF attracted thousands of angry African-American offenders with little to lose. The ruthless gang was responsible for dozens of staff assaults and even the brutal murder of a Marin County court judge in 1970.
On January 13, 1970, Black Guerrilla Family co founder W.L. Nolan was shot to death by guards during a bloody BGF vs. Aryan Brotherhood prison race riot in California’s Soledad State Prison. The BGF received another low blow shortly after Nolan’s death when sniper guards at the San Quentin State Prison shot and killed the BGF leader George Jackson after an unsuccessful prison escape.
Leaderless BGF soldiers lost moral and ditched the gang’s original Communist Mao Tse-tung ideology. The gangs new leader Ruben Williams, lacked political vision and developed an interest in robbery, extortion and drug trafficking. The BGF formed alliances with the Nuestra Familia prison gang in 1971 and assisted the NF in taking complete control of the northern California drug trade once dominated by the Mexican Mafia and Aryan Brotherhood.
In August 17, 1980, leaders of the BGF ordered the murder of two black inmates at the Vacaville, California State Prison and violated their own principal rule of prohibiting its members from shedding the blood of fellow black people. The BGF proceeded brake it’s rule for a second time on August 26, 1989 when BGF member Tyrone Robinson gun downed Black Panther leader Huey P. Newton in Oakland, California. The BGF ordered the slaying after Newton demanded that the BGF stop selling heroin to black addicts. (Associated Press) [end excerpt]

I've read about space camp. This is a truly an interesting photo...and one that should have been published widely instead of all of the photos attempting to criminalize Trayvon Martin, and "justify" his killer's actions.George Zimmerman, murdering vigilante and cop wannabe, has done nothing in the interim of being exonerated of his guilt in the lynching of Trayvon Martin but commit one crime after another, for which he doesn't ever do any jail time, and for which he isn't ever held accountable. He continues, in other words, to prove himself to be a useless waste of flesh.
Trayvon Martin's innocence, on the other hand, has been repeatedly proven, as was his intelligence. Afrikan intelligence being the rule rather than the exception - this is not surprising - and is one of the reasons Tryavon Martin was lynched and his killer was set free.
Zimmerman is now claiming to be homeless (what happened to the thousands of dollars raised for him on social media?) and claims that he suffers from PTSD.

There were over 15 people and two dogs at the campsite that I was aware of, but I'm sure I didn't see everyone that was present. Some people couldn't even get up because of how sick they were. With deplorable conditions, people made their efforts to try and maintain stability with what little they had. Many people who were there wanted to succeed and get out of the realm that they had been trapped in through their self-described poor choices, but they found it hard to have many people take them seriously.
I just want to remind everyone that there are people out there, in the United States of America, living in substandard conditions. We like to think of our country as put-together and able to help everyone else, when in reality we're pretty far behind for a "1st world" country. Yes, because of poor choices they made, but also because they didn't have access to the help they needed. Rehab centers are available, but sometimes it's hard without a proper ID or an address. And not everyone has the mental fortitude to get up and fight another day like some like to boast about. We don't all fight the same, as some of us are battling countless demons/struggles at once. People on the street have battled, literally, as in, some are veterans with PTSD, others have witnessed horrendous abuse and they too have PTSD amid other personality and mental health issues that arise from unstable living conditions. And I know life isn't supposed to be fair or easy, but we could try and be more mindful of what other go through. Be gentle and love kindly, even if it's just to yourself.
I wanted to post this sign that was left at the encampment by Hwy 37 and 29. My issue is that adequate numbers and addresses were not issued for people to go to after they were ordered to evacuate the premises. Ordering people to leave doesn't resolve much except force people to migrate to other places and perpetuate their circumstances, as in continue to use drugs to forget their hunger and emotional pain, slowly lose grip of what little reality they have left.

Man, no wonder these cops are on a killing rampage...absolutely no accountability for their actions!

Hugo Pinell was assassinated at new Folsom State Prison. this is another example of the racism people of color inside those prisons are confronted with on a daily basis. ,like Comrade George, Hugo has been in the cross hairs of the system for years. His assassination exemplify how racist working in conjunction with prison authorities commit murderous acts like this. We saw it on the yard at Soledad in 1970 and we see it again on the yard at Folsom in 2015.
His life was a living hell. We witness the brutality inflicted on him by prison guards as they made every effort to break him, he endured more than fifty years of sensory deprivation, for decades he was denied being able to touch his family or another human being, as well as attempts on his life. This is cruel and unusual punishment! Hugo is not the monster that is being portrayed in social media / news media. The CDC is the real monster.
During the six trial we really got to know Hugo. He was as we all were under a lot of stress. His stress was heavier than mines because he had the additional load of being beaten on regular occasions. We saw the strength of his of his spirit, and through it all he manage to smile.
We mourn the loss of our comrade brother, yogi. We have been hit with a crushing blow that will take some time to recover from. We must expose those who under the cover of law orchestrated and allowed this murderous act to take place. The prisoners who did it acted as agents of the state. It comes at a time when prisoners are collectively trying to end decades of internal strife. Those who took his life have done a disservice to our movement, their actions served the cause of the same oppressor we fought against! No longer do you have to endure the hatred of people who didn’t even know you and never dared to love you. You have represented George & Che well, and we salute you!

This business is located immediately adjacent to a Wetland. You can't possibly tell me that they are not aware of the mess that is in spitting distance from their parking lot. Most of this trash comes from their parking lot. When this property recently expanded, why wasnt a fence installed to protect the White Slough from trash? City of Vallejo fails to exhibit the most basic level of environmental awareness, leadership or protection of our watersheds. Considering the MANY sub-watersheds within our community, this should not be allowed to happen anywhere in Vallejo. Revolting indeed! Sadly, trash is a part of society, but in the business world, we are to manage the negative impacts associated with our footprint in any given environment. That a Corporation would allow this type of neglect is shameful. Regular maintenance would prevent such unnecessary impacts.

I don't see this as a Letter to editor or city council resolve. If you, I and others comment on their own facebook page, leaving a review, adding the link to the photo album for others to see and leave a review recommending a statewide boycott until this matter is resolved, I expect the mess will be cleaned up withing 10 days. Not so in the United States, at least not regarding the Civil War. As soon as Confederates laid down their arms, some picked up their pens and began to distort what they had done, and why. Their resulting mythology went national a generation later and persists — which is why a presidential candidate can suggest that slavery was somehow pro-family, and the public believes that the war was mainly fought over states’ rights.
The Confederates won with the pen (and the noose) what they could not win on the battlefield: the cause of white supremacy and the dominant understanding of what the war was all about. We are still digging ourselves out from under the misinformation that they spread, which has manifested in both our history books and our public monuments.
Neo-Confederates also won western Maryland. In 1913, the United Daughters of the Confederacy (UDC) put a soldier on a pedestal at the Rockville courthouse. Montgomery County never seceded, of course. While Maryland did send 24,000 men to the Confederate armed forces, it sent 63,000 to the U.S. Army and Navy. Nevertheless, the UDC’s monument tells visitors to take the other side: “To our heroes of Montgomery Co. Maryland / That we through life may not forget to love the Thin Gray Line.”
Perhaps most perniciously, neo-Confederates now claim that the South seceded for states’ rights. When each state left the Union, its leaders made clear that they were seceding because they were for slavery and against states’ rights. In its “Declaration Of The Causes Which Impel The State Of Texas To Secede From The Federal Union,” for example, the secession convention of Texas listed the states that had offended them: Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan and Iowa. These states had in fact exercised states’ rights by passing laws that interfered with the federal government’s attempts to enforce the Fugitive Slave Act. Some also no longer let slaveowners “transit” through their states with their slaves. “States’ rights” were what Texas was seceding against. Texas also made clear what it was seceding for: white supremacy. The Declaration reads, "We hold as undeniable truths that the governments of the various States, and of the confederacy itself, were established exclusively by the white race, for themselves and their posterity; that the African race had no agency in their establishment; that they were rightfully held and regarded as an inferior and dependent race, and in that condition only could their existence in this country be rendered beneficial or tolerable." Details were published on the site "Russian Spring" . The blogger analyzed messages in social networks and online forums, and concluded that in the ranks of the Ukrainian law enforcers are not only foreign mercenaries but military personnel from Europe.

He also said that the forum "flashback.org" answered questions from several foreigners who are fighting in the Donbass. This is what the US has brought to Ukraine; controlled chaos, which they're in charge of through their various pressure groups that they can manipulate.
As for Crimea, it was given symbolically to Ukraine by Krushchev in the '50s. It's almost 60% Russian, and the Crimeans don't want to live under the rule of Kiev. Why not concede that Crimeans have done what they wanted to and quit letting the US government use that as an excuse to keep sanctions on Russia? Hafez Al Assad was smart enough to not do everything the superpowers wanted him to do, and he got a better deal out of them for that. You are no doubt considerably more intelligent than he is.
The US government is using your country, and it's obvious at this point that it isn't to Ukraine's benefit.
I have no doubt that if you quit allowing the US to direct your foreign policy, you could come to a good understanding with Russia, and they would probably be willing to share Crimea, provided that they are guaranteed access to the naval base and that the US is never allowed onto the penninsula.
Wouldn't that be far better than the situation that exists now between Russia and Ukraine?
Russia will also be able to help you get Monsanto and the US bio-tech companys' poison off your farmland.

What did Foreign Policy "debunk" then? It's not clear, but the publication felt it was necessary to translate the article into Russian, possibly so that Russians, apparently "brainwashed" by this tabloid material, have a hope of reaching the "truth." The translation was almost immediately republished by foreign media translation service InoSMI, a part of Rossiya Segodnya media group together with Sputnik.
A visit to the website of the "Federal Information Center 'Analysis and Security'" shows that it is a limited liability corporation which presents itself as an anti-corruption non-government organization. The organization also has a list of partner sites, most of which are defunct, although one, presented as a consumer protection agency, operating out of the same building as the investigative agency.
Russian media have previously accused the "Federal Information Center" of conducting fake anti-corruption investigations against organizations such as Russian Railways to fulfill personal goals of its members.
With such a background, the origin of the recording with "CIA agents" becomes clearer. The group, which has no clear source of funding or revenue, has also given interviews with the same "evidence" to LifeNews. Employees of the organization often give press interviews, mostly on issues of personal safety and corruption, but at times also international politics.
The falsified evidence then could help the organization maintain a media presence with a sensationalist material. At the same time, the media which picks up the "story" would be able to retain its reputation by immediately saying that the theory is wrong while also gathering considerable views and therefore ad revenue (both LifeNews and Komsomolskaya Pravda are privately-owned media outlets). An interpretation of the original 1609 land grant to the Virginia Colony roughly matches the eventual homeland of the USA, an example of how capitalism motivated a form of land-grabbing as the deed holders to the Virginia chartered lands, pooled their capital together to protect their entitlement. Washington was the largest land-holder of what became the Commonwealth of Virginia, 1776.

Virginia would include most of North America, as seen on the map below. In earliest days of English exploration, before the establishment of New England at Plymouth Rock, 'Virginia' was what the English called 'North America', or at least English North America lying between French and Spanish America. Also Bermuda, and any other island within 900 miles (300 leagues) of the Virginian mainland, which would include most of the Caribbean Islands, and would extend through the Aleutian Islands of Alaska. These historic boundaries are described in Section 1-301 of the Code of Virginia.

This article, Is Justifiable Homicide The Modern Day Casual Killing Of Slaves?, is dedicated to the memory of Eric Garner, Trayvon Martin, Oscar Grant, Sean Bell, Yvette Smith and all of the other men and women who were unjustifiably murdered under the guise of “justifiable homicide”.
Unfortunately, not a year goes by without a news report of some young man or woman dying in the hands of the police (or someone who acts as if they are the police). Usually, these cases are polarized by the factor of race. The victim is usually identified as “Black” or “African-American”, while the perpetrator of the act is usually identified as “White”. Recently, we were exposed to the graphic viral video of a New York police department officer putting a 43 year-old asthmatic husband, father of 6 children and grandfather of 2 grandchildren, in a chokehold which led to the man’s death. The man’s name is Eric Garner.
The use of the chokehold to restrain someone has long been prohibited by the NYPD. Officer Daniel Pantaleo, the cop who used the chokehold on Eric Garner, was previously sued twice for using the exact same chokehold. Now, it stands to reason to ask the following question: why would the NYPD keep an officer who was sued twice for using a prohibited chokehold?
The answer to that question, and the answer to why such killings continually take place, may lie within an old-time slave code.
The oldest U.S. slave laws are found in the State of Virginia. There is a publication entitled The Statutes at Large; Being a Collection of all the Laws of Virginia, volume 2 (1823) by William W. Henning. This publication contains the Virginia Slave Codes. Among these codes is a document, dated October of 1669, which is entitled “An act about the casual killing of slaves”. This act states the following:
“Whereas the only law in force for the punishment of refractory servants resisting their master, mistress or overseer cannot be inflicted upon negroes, nor the obstinacy of many of them by other than violent means suppressed, Be it enacted and declared by this grand assembly, if any slave resist his master (or others by his masters order correcting him) and by the extremity of the correction should chance to die, that his death shall not be considered a felony, but the master (or that other person appointed by the master to punish him) be acquit from molestation, since it cannot be presumed that malice existed (which alone makes murder a felony) [or that anything] should induce any man to destroy his own estate.”
The relevance of this act becomes more apparent when one looks into the Supreme Court case of Tennessee versus Garner. Tennessee vs. Garner, 471 U.S. 1 (1985), was a case in which the U.S. Supreme Court decided that, under the 4th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, when a law enforcement officer is pursuing a suspect, the officer may apply deadly force to prevent escape if he or she has “probable cause” to believe that the suspect poses a threat. Needless to say, it is very difficult to prove that a law enforcement officer does not have “probable cause”. In the case of Eric Garner, a “black” man who weighed about 400 pounds, one can guess how the NYPD might use this to their advantage.
In criminal law, the idea of justifiable homicide exists between the legal definitions of an excuse and a justification. In law, homicide becomes justified when it prevents greater harm to others. A homicide can be justified if it can be proven that it was reasonable to believe that the victim posed an imminent threat to the life or well-being of another. A homicide in this case is blameless, and is distinguished from the less strict criteria allowing deadly force in the stand your ground law (which was used to justify the murder of Trayvon Martin by George Zimmerman).
Unfortunately, in the United States, Asiatics of Moorish descent have been categorized under the labels that delude to slavery (i.e. negro, black, colored, African-American, etc.). As a result, they are still viewed as slaves. In this sense, the “casual killing of slaves” in the form of justifiable homicide applies.
Those terms, which delude to slavery, were defined as objects of commercial trade in the Law of Nations. This definition carried over into the U.S. slave laws and later on, into the various statues that are in effect today. A slave is one who is void of a nationality, as nationality determines one’s political status and a slave has no political rights. The nationality of Moors was taken away from them in 1774 and the words “negro”, “black” and “colored” were given to Asiatics, of America, who were of Moorish descent. A perfect example of how nationality works is in the case of the lynchings of Italian-Americans in New Orleans during the 1890’s. As a result of the efforts of the Italian consul,the U.S. government actually paid indemnities for the killings.
In this day and time, it is of utmost importance that we proclaim our nationality in order to reclaim our birthrights and be recognized as natural persons as opposed to state property. Prophet Noble Drew Ali taught us about the importance of nationality and birthrights. In his editorial entitled “A Divine Warning By The Prophet For The Nations”, he stated: “The citizens of all free national governments according to their national constitution are all of one family bearing one free national name. Those who fail to recognize the free national name of their constitutional government are classed as undesirables, and are subject to all inferior names and abuses and mistreatments that the citizens care to bestow upon them. And it is a sin for any group of people to violate the national constitutional laws of a free national government and cling to the names and the principles that delude to slavery.”

The United States is home to more than 35,000 museums that memorialize our nation’s culture and history. Revitalized plantations that commemorate the old South are popular among them, celebrated as “bastions of genteel culture,” in the words of an official New Orleans Web site, and monuments to the rural beauty of a bygone era. Many have been romanticized as tourist attractions and wedding venues. But none were dedicated to telling the story of the people who sustained them — slaves.
In fact, the United States did not have a single museum devoted entirely to slavery until last December, when I opened the very first one. It’s housed at the Whitney Plantation, a former indigo and sugar farm that I had purchased 15 years earlier outside of New Orleans.
More than 350 individuals had been enslaved on that land before 1865. That realization began my education on the history of the Atlantic slave trade, from its origins in the 1400s through the lives of the people who worked on the Whitney Plantation. As a lifelong Southerner, I realized that there had been a glaring omission in my education of the nation’s history, and that I was not alone in my ignorance. While everyone knows that slavery existed in America, for many people, the details are sorely lacking. For instance, many Americans do not realize that religious institutions supported slavery. From the papal order in 1452 permitting the king of Portugal to keep Africans in “perpetual slavery” to the published lectures of an American Protestant doctor of divinity in the 1850s justifying slavery as an “appropriate form of government,” religious institutions were complicit in this atrocity.
Likewise, many do not fully understand the economic impact of slavery on the developing United States economy. The web of people who profited from the labor of enslaved Africans and their descendants stretched from New Orleans to New England. Beyond the obvious fortunes made by slave traders, cotton planters and sugar cane farmers, businesses that profited from American slavery extended far beyond the boundaries of the Confederacy. In the North as well as the South, lawyers and notaries created documents for the sale, lease and manumission of slaves; insurance companies wrote policies on slaves and slaving voyages; and northern shipyards built vessels to transport slaves and plantation cotton. New England textile mills used cotton picked by slaves and New York manufacturers produced what was designated as “Negro clothing.” In the 1850s, the I.M. Singer Company in New York advertised the development of a “new, improved sewing machine especially adapted to the making up of Negro clothing.” New England distilleries manufactured rum from from molasses produced on Louisiana sugar plantations. That cheap rum was used as currency in West Africa to purchase people. Every region of the U.S. and arena of American prosperity owes a debt to the forced labor of African slaves.
That not one of America’s 35,000 museums had been dedicated solely to the facts and experiences of slavery is an egregious national failure. The Sept. 11 museum opened just 10 years after that tragedy. There are museums dedicated to the Confederacy and antebellum life in Virginia, South Carolina, Louisiana, and most other Southern states. The United States has more Holocaust museums than Israel, Germany and Poland combined. The country found the funds and the will to build the $168 million Holocaust Memorial Museum just blocks from the U.S. Capitol, a building constructed largely by slaves in the 18th and 19th centuries.

James BaldwinOn August 11, 1965, a young black motorist was pulled over on suspicion of driving while intoxicated by white California Highway Patrol officer Lee Minikus just outside of Watts in Los Angeles. The motorist, 21-year-old Marquette Frye, was driving his brother Ronald home in his mother's 1955 Buick. According to the police, after failing a field sobriety test, Frye was placed under arrest and officer Minikus radioed for the Buick to be impounded. Marquette's brother Ronald was unable to claim the car, so he walked two blocks to inform their mother of the situation. Onlookers began crowding around. According to accounts, Frye's mother, Rena Price, was visibly upset when she arrived at the scene. Frye became agitated, yelling that he was not drunk and did not need to go to jail. Someone shoved Rena from behind, launching her into another officer. Ronald intervened, but was struck on the forehead by the officer's baton. Another officer pulled out a shotgun, further escalating the situation. Onlookers began throwing objects and yelling at the police. Rena Price, Ronald Frye, and Marquette Fry were all arrested, but the police were unable to disperse the crowd.
The incident sparked 6 days of massive protest and open rebellion against the police. Almost 1,000 buildings were destroyed (today, the equivalent of $200 million dollars in property damage), dozens were killed, thousands were arrested, and approximately 14,000 National Guard troops were deployed to enforce martial law on the streets of Los Angeles. Racial tensions were further exacerbated when LAPD Police Chief William Parker (pictured above) said that the people in the streets were like "monkeys in the zoo." Parker was known for recruiting police officers from the Mississippi Delta and hiring Marines as drill instructors. Under his command, the LAPD faced numerous accusations of police brutality and racism.
The 50th Anniversary of the Watts Riots coincides with the first anniversary of Mike Brown's killing on the streets of Ferguson by police officer Darren Wilson. Brown's death and subsequent failure to indict Wilson resulted in several nights of protest and unrest. Comparisons of Ferguson and Watts demonstrate the persistence of racist police violence and economic disparity in our supposedly post-Civil Rights era.

But some of its most important revelations -- those touching on Israel’s role in Central America -- received little or no attention in the press. The trial memorandum actually begins with a discussion of Israel’s role. In 1983, CIA Director William Casey asked the Pentagon to help obtain infantry weapons Israel had captured from the PLO in Lebanon in 1982. “Following discussions between Maj. Gen. Meron of Israel and retired Maj. Gen. Richard Secord of the United States government,” the memorandum discloses, “Israel secretly provided several hundred tons of weapons to the Department of Defense on a grant basis in May 1983.” (Secord later became North’s private agent for dealings with both Iran and the contras.) This operation, dubbed Tipped Kettle, supplied about $10 million worth of arms and ammunition.
The CIA, again working through the Pentagon, arranged another delivery of weapons in the summer of 1984 in Operation Tipped Kettle II: “Although CIA advised Congress that the weapons would be used for various purposes, in fact many of them were provided to the Nicaraguan resistance as appropriated funds ran out.” At the time, as the memorandum notes, the CIA had run up against a ceiling on aid and turned to Israel. My grandpa, Katasonov Vyacheslav Andreevich, was imprisoned in 1937, he was a director of Kemerovo school in Kuzbass. For what - is a big mystery, but he told me that Stalin was good.
I said, "Granpa, why, you have been jailed under Stalin!"
He explained, and unfortunately many people today don't understand what was happening: "Valya, don't you understand, there was a civil war. Only the textbooks say that the Civil war ended in 1922. In reality it only ended with the beginning of the Great Patriotic War. Beyond the Urals practically the entire party leadership were the Trotskyists. Therefore beyond the Urals the prisoners were mostly Stalin's supporters. And here - the Trotskyists and the representatives of the new opposition. It was a kind of a Civil war."
This is why many of those jailed in the Stalin Gulag believe that they have been jailed for their support of Stalin.
Beyond the Urals, the secretaries of governorates [governors - ed] were almost all Trotskyists.
By the way, with great pleasure I later found concrete evidence by Yury Mukhin, who has described what happened in one of his books. He said, beyond the Urals everything was occupied by the Trotskyists. This is why my Katasonov family has suffered, my grandpa worked on the gold mines in Kolyma, he has been rehabilitated in 1956, but he viewed Stalin more then positive.
